Christine and Franklin Diss

A combined memorial service for Christine and Franklin Diss will be held at noon on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Owaneco United Methodist Church. Visitation will take place from 10am until noon also on Saturday at the church. Following the service, inurnment with military honors for Frank, will take place at the Owaneco Cemetery.

Christine was born on August 31, 1930 in Pana, the daughter of Herman and Alice Minnette (Schmidt) Carlton. Chris passed away on December 4, 2020 in Taylorville. Franklin was born on May 26, 1933 in Taylorville, the son of Chauncey Mitchell and Ruby Pearl (Fortner) Diss Sr. He passed away on September 7, 2020 in Taylorville. Frank and Chris were united in marriage on June 22, 1952 in the Owaneco United Methodist Church, where they were active all their lives. They are survived by their daughter: Cindy Diss of Taylorville and son: Daniel Diss of Wheaton. Memorials in their memory may be left to the Owaneco United Methodist Church. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
