Rose Ann Luttrell and Jerry Lee Luttrell, Sr.
It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our parents, Rose Ann Luttrell and Jerry Lee Luttrell, Sr. Rose was born on May 13, 1950 in Springfield, Ill. to Donald & Florence Sinkhorn. Rose was a loving wife and mother. She also worked outside her home as a CNA in a nursing home.
She loved nature as was evident in her gardening and care of her birdfeeders. Jerry was born July 22, 1950 in Taylorville, Ill. to William & Dorothy (Daniels) Luttrell. He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. After his military serv- ice, he worked at Firestone Tire manufacturing tires. Jerry was a wonderful grandpa and loved time with his grandchildren.
Jerry and Rose raised their family in Taylorville, Ill. before moving to Hollister, Mo. They both worked at Wal-Mart and attended New Beginnings Fellowship in Hollister, Mo.
Rose entered into rest on June 5, 2021 at the age of 71 and Jerry on June 6, 2021 at the age of 70.
Both are preceded in death by their parents and Jerry by his sister, Marjorie Cahoon and infant sisters, Dorothy Mae and Arlene.
They are survived by their six children, Jerry Luttrell, Jr. (Michelle) of Branson, Mo., Dakota Vaughn Luttrell (Sierra) of Omaha, Ariz., Dalton Luttrell of Lincoln, Ill., Dorothy Luttrell of Taylorville, Ill., April King (Cody) of Hollister, Mo., Nikki Luttrell of Taylorville, Ill. along with fourteen grand- children and eight great-grandchildren.
Rose is also survived by siblings, Donald Sinkhorn of Burkburnett, Texas, Larry Sinkhorn of Edinburg, Ill., Brenda Dietrich of Edinburg, Ill., Joyce Leady of Decatur, Ill., Diane Manion of Breckenridge, Ill., Terry Unland of Springfield, Ill.
Jerry is also survived by siblings, Bill Luttrell (Betty) of Fargo, N.D., Linda Buracher of Mo. and Mary Ellen Dean of Pana, Ill.
And they are both survived by many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held.
That a shock. What a lovely sweet pair. I have known Jerry since 1st grade and we were neighbors till we were 18 years old and then classmates all through the years as well. Rose and Jerry made a perfectly sweet couple and I send my condolences to the whole family. God bless you all at this incredibly sad loss.
