David A. Lauher of Tovey was driving West on Esther Street when he lost control and collided his front end with some concrete barriers, causing it to spin 90 degrees left and turn over onto its left side. Below the vehicle was a construction pit with an exposed gas pipeline. Lauher showed lack of coordination and balance when speaking to law enforcement and EMS. The odor of alcohol was present on his breath, and Lauher admitted to alcohol consumption prior to driving. Taylorville towing took possession of the vehicle, and EMS transported driver to TMH for evaluation.
Brenda L. Callier advised she has been shopping all day in Springfield and Taylorville. After leaving Wal-Mart, Callier noticed someone in red vehicled had damaged her passenger side door. The car door had a medi- um size dent with red paint transfer on the scratched area. Callier came to post to file police report for unknown location of damage.
Belon Ortiz of Springfield was eastbound on 1800 north road in South Fork Township. Ortiz reported an unknown issue with the 2014 Volvo he was driving which caused him to drive through the “T” intersection at 200 east road. The ditch was also filled with water. The vehicle was towed. No injuries
