ORLANDO — The Springfield Shock 17UA team went 12-1 and finished second out of 98 teams in the AAU Nationals Classic division, June 26- 30. They returned home from the Orlando tourney with the runner-up trophy, dropping their only match in the championship, 19-25 and 23-25, to Huntsville, Alabama’s Rocket City, coached by former 1984 United States volleyball Olympian Rose Magers-Powell. Tourney All-Star honors went to Chloe Byrd, Hannah Clayton and Laura Kaiser.
