Doris Pearl Bonn, 93, of Blue Mound, Ill. passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021.
A service to honor and celebrate Doris’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Blue Mound United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Doris will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound is assisting the family with services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Blue Mound Birthday Club.
Doris was born on June 12, 1928 in Moweaqua, Ill. She married John Robert Bonn, Sr., he preceded her in death in 1981. Doris cleaned houses for over 50 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Blue Mound Birthday Club. She enjoyed baking and playing Bingo and Bunco.
Doris is survived by her children: Carolyn Jean (Harry) Clark of Blue Mound, Ill. and John Robert (Mary Kaye) Bonn, Jr. of Moweaqua, Ill.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, three sisters and her grandson.
