CTI reporting area scam
TAYLORVILLE — CTI of Taylorville has received calls from customers regarding scammers claiming to be with the company who are not.
The company says individual(s) have been going door to door claiming to be with CTI. In most instances, the individuals attempted to gain entry to homes claiming they need access to equipment. CTI says any clients will always be contacted by its office prior to employees needing access to a customer’s home.
They ask if a situation like this arises, customers are welcome to call the CTI office at 217-824-6398 or 217- 608-0123 to confirm the person’s validity. And above all, do not let these individuals enter your home.
They also encourage you to call your local police department.
