Dolly Deloris Shoemaker Yeakley

September 16, 1941 — May 31, 2021

In Loving Memory of Dolly D. Yeakley, 79 of Lehigh Acres, Fla. passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Lehigh Regional Medical Center in Lehigh Acres, Florida.

She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on September 16, 1941, the daughter of Ervin Vernon and Dorothy Allen (LeDent) Tindell. She married James E. Shoemaker in 1959. He preceded her in death in 1974. She then married her second husband, Ralph A. Yeakley in 1989. He proceeded her in death in 2003.

She retired after working for over 30 years as the owner/operator of The Stylist Hair Salon in Taylorville, Ill. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dolly is survived by her children: Darline Sides (Tex) of Blue Mound, Ill. Diane Cuevas of Cleburne, Texas. Ervin Shoemaker (Andrea) of New Bern, N.C. Lori Shanks (Wes) of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Brenda Campbell of Lehigh Acres, Fla. She is also survived by three siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two children: Tony E. Shoemaker, James A. Shoemaker and several siblings.

The family will be having a celebration of life service on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at The House On The Rock Church, 314 N. Grant Street Edinburg, Ill. 62531 from 2-4 p.m.
