TAYLORVILLE — The Christian County Farm Bureau sponsored the Christian County MABAS- 50 for a grain bin rescue class. The Farm Bureau became aware of the need for county firefighters to have a training for grain bin rescues. Grain bin accidents happen, and the Farm Bureau wanted to be able to serve our county farmers with security knowing that if they should be involved in a grain bin accident that our county fire departments are equipped and trained for a rescue.
The Christian County Farm Bureau’s mission is “To positively affect the quality of life by informing, involving and representing the member and community.” The CCFB board felt that the grain bin rescue training falls under our mission statement and we are here to serve our members and community by sponsoring this class.
