TAYLORVILLE — Early Wednesday morning, the Taylorville Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, which includes members of the Kincaid Police Department and the Assumption Police Department, executed a search warrant at Fairview Trailer Courts on the west side of Taylorville. Four adults were arrested on warrants for failure to appear in court. Taylorville Chief of Police Dwayne Wheeler said the department has received several complaints about the residence in which persons with warrants and narcotics traffic were residing.
“With the help of the good citizens in that trailer park that do not want that type of activity, they supplied TPD with very credible information,” Wheeler said. “This trailer court is residence for several children and we will not tolerate this type of activity in front of children.”
In executing the search warrant police arrested William E. Dixon, 63, on a warrant for failure to appear in Montgomery County Court; Angel D. Madden, 27, a warrant for failure to appear in Christian County Court; Anthony M. Holmes, 31, for failure to appear; and John Reynolds, 58, for failure to appear.
The police also recovered items which will be sent to the Illinois State Police Crime lab in Springfield for analysis. More charges are pending as the investigation is on going.
