DECTAUR — Bust myths
about nature’s only flying mammal at Rock Springs Nature Center during Bats in the Barn on Saturday, July 24 from 7-9pm. We’ll sort out the difference between bat fact and fiction at Rock Springs Nature Center. Then, caravan to Sand Creek Conservation Area to watch some of our own native, wild bats fly out for a night of hunting. This program is free and open to all ages. Space is limited, so you must pre-register online by noon on July 23 at MaconCountyConservation. org.
Rock Springs Conservation Area is locat- ed on the southwestern edge of Decatur. To get to Rock Springs from Taylorville, go north on Route 48 and turn west onto Rock Springs Road. Watch for signs. Plenty of parking is available.
