NOTICE OF SALE
of Property Owned by the Village of Stonington
and Invitation to Bid Thereon
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the corporate authorities of the Village of Stonington will receive sealed bids for the purchase, under the successful bid, of the fee simple interest in the following real property:
LT 8 BLK 7 ST DOC NO 85 11 77 160353.000 75-174, 25 X 142,
09-27-B, PIN # 16-09-27-128-004-00 AND;
Lots 9 & 10 in Block 7 of the Original Town of Stonington, as laid out on the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 14 North, Range 1 West of the Third Principal Meridian, as shown by Plat recorded in Book 40 page 157, in Christian County, Illinois., PIN #’s: lot 9, 16-09-27-128-003 and Lot 10, 16-09-27-128-002.
which property is located at 416, 418, and 420 N Main Street, Stonington, Illinois and are currently empty lots.
Bids for the purchase of the aforesaid interest in the above-described property are hereby invited and will be received by the Village Clerk at Village Hall between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm until Monday, September 6, 2021. Said proposals shall be addressed to:

and shall bear the legend “proposal – sale of village of stonington lots on n main street” and the name and address of the bidder.
ALL BIDS MUST HAVE INTENDED PURPOSE OF USE OF LOTS FOR BID TO BE CONSIDERED.
All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regular meeting of the corporate authorities of the Village of Stonington at 7:00 pm on September 6, 2021.
A contract may be awarded to the bidder whose bid is found to be in the best interests of the Village of Stonington. The corporate authorities reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. The corporate authorities further reserve the right to review and study any and all bids and to make a contract award after the bids have been opened and publicly read.
