PANA — The Pana Labor Day Parade Committee is seeking entries for its “Cutest Baby Contest. The winner of the contest gets $200 and a ride in the Pana Labor Day Parade on Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 6.
The contest is open to the first 36 entries received before July 31, 2021. All contestants must be under the age of three and not turn three prior to Sept. 6, 2021. Contestants must reside within a 10-mile radius of Pana City Hall or, with- in the boundaries of the Pana School District.
Entries may be sent to the Parade’s designated e-mail address, panalabordayparade@yahoo.com. They should be unedited and in the original size. The committee will re-size the photos to fit its specification. Photos should be .jpg files or compatible formats. Include the child’s name; date of birth; age; and parents’ name, mailing address and e-mail address.
The contest is slated to being on Aug. 4, 2021. Ballot boxes will be located in Pana at Sav-A-Lot grocery store, County Market grocery store and Pana Pizza Man. Voting will continue through Aug. 26, 2021. Voting is done on a monetary scale. A penny equals one vote; a nickel, five votes; a dime, 10 votes; a dollar, 100 votes; and etc.
Grand prize is $200 with the runner-up receiving $100. The second runner-up will get $50.
All decisions reached by the Pana Labor Day Parade Committee related to the con- test entries, rules, proceedings or results are final.
