Taylorville Arrests
July 30:
Tanner Gronewald, 31, Taylorville, was arrested by TPD on an fta warrant for criminal damage to property.
Victoria Gray, 35, Springfield, was arrested by TPD for retail theft and possession of meth.
Leroy Casson, 35, Waverly was arrested by conservation police for possession of a controlled substance.
Mary Hall, 36, Springfield, was arrested by Conservation Police for possession of a controlled substance.
July 31:
Wesley Rogers, 37, Decatur was arrested by CCSO for driv- ing on a suspended/revoked drivers license.
Christian Crowder, 30, Taylorville, was arrested by TPD for domestic battery.
Kurklan Dickey, 26, Taylorville, was arrested by TPD for domestic battery.
Joetta Lewis, 63, Taylorville, was arrested by TPD on a body attachment warrant.
Accidents:
On July 28, 2021, Michael Rahar was eastbound on County Highway 6 in May township. Linda Haugh was attempting to pull onto County Highway 6 from a private drive and failed to yield the right of way. Haugh’s 2008 Ford struck the front right of Tahar’s 2012 Dodge causing damage. No injuries. No tow. Haugh was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
On July 31, 2021, Blakemen Bowers and Daniel Gotts were both southbound on Illinois Route 48 in Palmer. Gotts slowed his 2017 Chrysler for a vehicle turning in front of his. Bowers was unable to slow his 2015 Dodge in time and struck the rear of the gotts vehicle. The Bowers vehicle was towed from the scene. Bowers was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. No injuries.
On July 31, 2021, Wesley Rogers was northbound on County Highway 23 in Buckhart township. Just south of 2300 North Road, Rogers lost control of the 2007 Chrysler he was driving and crashed into the west ditch. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed. Rogers was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid accident, driving on a suspended/revoked drivers license and no insurance
