PANA — One person was taken to the hospital on Sunday morning following a one-car accident on Illinois Route 29 just north of Pana shortly after 7:00 a.m. According to information released from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, James Emerick, no age or residence given, was driving northbound on 29 just south of 2300E Rd. and lost control of the car. It left the roadway, cut through a farm field, knocked over a State of Illinois road sign and came to rest on its top in the north ditch. The driver was taken from the scene by ambulance. No report on his condi- tion was available.
