TAYLORVILLE — The Taylorville Municipal Band will present their sea- son finale concert Wednesday, August 11 at 7:00 PM at the Christian County Fairgrounds. The concert is free and open to the public. Angi Chase, Pana Jr/Sr High Choral Director, will be the featured soloist, performing Franz Strauss’ Concerto Opus 8 for Horn and Band arranged by Charles Yeago.
The band will also be performing: Emperata Overture by Claude T. Smith; King Cotton by John Philip Sousa and arranged by Keith Brion and Loras Schissel; Legends In The Mist by Michael Sweeney; The Trombone King March by Karl King; Centuria by James Swearingen; The Washington Post
March by John Philip Sousa; Irish Tune from County Derry by Percy Grainger; Metalla by Jan Van der Roost; Kentucky Sunrise by Karl King and arranged by Robert Foster and America the Beautiful arranged by Carmen Dragon.
