TPD arrest pair for narcotics trafficking in town

TAYLORVILLE — The Taylorville Police Department’s Community Action Team went to the area of East Adams Street to conduct saturated enforcement due to citizen’s complaints of alleged narcotic activity. Police were able to gather enough information to secure a search warrant late Friday night.
As a result of executing the search warrant, Taylorville Police arrested Nicholas J. Dyer, 44 and Megan R. L ynn, 41, of Taylorville. They charged with delivery of a methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. TPD recovered several grams of methamphet- amine, scales, baggies and other item that contribute to the sale of narcotics.
Police said the investiga- tion is continuing and other indivuduals may be arrested in connection to the case.
During a conversation with an individual, the subject stated the Safe Passage Program has hurt business because of people getting sober and not using anymore.
