Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,
The Afghanistan debacle lies solely on President Biden and his administration! This includes his National Security Team, including the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Chairman of Joint Chief of Staff and of course the “last one in the room” Vice President Harris.

With that said…make no mistake that our real military, not the political appointees would not have created this messy withdrawal. If the military commanders planned and executed their plans, it would have been a seamless and not a news worthy event! But when the civilian leadership and political appointees get in the way, this is what we get!

Furthermore, when the first consideration for a political appointment is how they vote, then diversity, then how much money they donated your political party, and then finally qualifications, this is what you get! I understand there are probably some positions that can be filled with that process, but not the National Security Advisor, Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense! These positions are skilled, experienced and qualified, and most importantly they are patriots! If the folks currently serving in those positions meet all those qualifications, AND they advised the President against his withdrawal plan, then I’d expect numerous resignations. And I’m saying this because they have already given him a couple of strikes with his southern border policy/debacle!

After four years of hearing that the adults in the room resigned over their principles, why aren’t the Democrats and mainstream media speaking out now? And where are the adults in this administration?
