Dear Editor,
The Speak Out / Letter to the Editor sections are important tools that allow our community to remain communicative and engaged. These forums are uniquely suited for conversations surrounding our small communities, and I think most people enjoy catching up on news throughout the town (with the occasional drama/debate). These tools see engagement and outreach because they are useful and pertinent to the town. Unfortunately, these forums have been completely co-opted into a mouthpiece for grumpy men and women to complain about politics and rage against the “other side”. “Speak Out” is not your Facebook wall, and it shouldn’t be treated as such. I can only imagine that the folks at Breeze roll their eyes when they see the same users posting the same thing, week after week.
