Taylorville Arrests
August 27, 2021:
Aaron WP Mosley, 23, Kincaid was arrested for a FTA warrant for possession of meth.
August 28, 2021:
Robert V. McCauley, 30, Taylorville was arrested for pos- session of methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
August 29, 2021:
Emileigh K. King, 22, Taylorville was arrested for a Macon County warrant.
Robert A. Coffey, 50, Stonington was arrested for driving while license suspended.
Lawrence Stringer, 58, Kincaid was arrested by CCSO on a FTA warrant for criminal trespass.
Accidents:
On August 27, 2021, Bricen Moore was northbound on 200 East Road in King township driving a 2011 Toyota. At the intersection of 700 north, Moore had to swerve to the right to avoid an eastbound vehicle. Moore’s vehicle went off the roadway causing damage. The eastbound vehicle did not stop. No injuries/no tow.
On August 29, 2021, Kristin Nicholson was westbound on County Highway 12 in Greenwood township. Near the intersection of 1350 East Road, a deer ran into the path of the 2010 Chrysler and Nicholson was unable to avoid striking it, causing damage to the front end. After striking the deer the vehicle went into the north ditch. Minor injuries reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Correction:
It was reported Michael Morrissey was arrested. It should have read Matthew Morrissey, 34 Stonington, was arrested by Edinburg Police for possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting a peace officer.
