Breeze-Courier Writer RAYMOND—The Lincolnwood Lancers volleyball team hosted the Greenfield Tigers on Tuesday afternoon. The gymnasium was on fire,
but not quite like these Lancers. Both of the matches ending with the same result as Lincolnwood came out on top, 25-16.
The crowd was cheering loudly and the players were ready to go as the first match started.
The Tigers sent the ball to the Lincolnwood side to start game 1. The serve would end up out of bounds and the Lancers up 1-0. They would continue the tear going up 4-0 quickly. Lincolnwood junior Hailee Belsher devistating kills set the tone for the match. She went on to have 14 kills.
Greenfield failed to keep up with the Lancers and the home team won the first set, 25-16.
The second game was a bit closer than the first though, with Greenfield and Lincolnwood going point for point up until halfway through when The Lancers turned on the after burners.
Lincolwood was not slacking on the defensive side of the ball either, with plenty of blocks to go around. Belsher had 4 blocks and 2 for the fresh- man, Jazmine Seaton. The match ended on an ace from Lincolnwood junior
Avery Pope. The Lancers again defeated the Tigers in both games in the same fashion, 25-16.
The Lincolnwood volley- ball team improves to an undefeated 3-0. The Lancers will try and stay that way as the team trav- els to Ramsey, Tuesday, Sept. 7, to take on the Rams.
