Your editorial cartoon yesterday (Monday) on masking was right on the mark!

Scared
After the insurrectionist deadly attack January 6th many Republican lawmakers are still scared. They’re scared that betraying their once and future king will draw the eyes of the mob back on them. They’re scared of what will happen to their jobs and power if that happens. And that fear has blinded them to the actual danger their inaction and silence are enabling, the destruction of our Democracy. When McCarthy phoned for help against the rioters, he was clear that it was Trump supporters who were attacking. The then- president responded, “Well, Kevin, I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are. Jim Jordan called Trump sever- al times begging Trump to call off the mob and send

the National Guard. Neither happened. If that’s not a “ True Coup Attempt, I don’t know what is. Now Jordan is him hawing that he might have made one call when new evidence showed there were over a half dozen calls that a day. Whitewashing the events of January 6 will not erase the stain on our Democracy or change the facts. Trump is a TRAITOR and so are those who con- tinue to support him. By continuing to minimalize these events Republicans are encouraging future attacks on the very founda- tions of our Democracy. They must move on from Trumpism, And remembrace their historic role as protectors of the Constitution.

Won’t get over it
Not sure what you were watching, the evacuation was 100% a cluster and I won’t get over it until ALL AMERICANS are home safely as well as the Afghans our government promised to get out because they saved tons of American lives. Joe Biden is the only one responsible for leaving Americans behind, what if your family were STRANDED in a terrorist country, I’m pretty sure you would feel differently!!!! He could have changed the agree- ment that Trump made with the Taliban like he did the pipeline, the borders laws, and numerous others. No one to blame but himself, and he has said that although he does’nt really mean it. If you take full ownership, you NEVER blame anyone else!!!!!!! For him to call it a success of any sort is wrong. Of the 123,000 people , only ,5500 are Americans, that is far from a huge success. Americans should have gotten out first…..PERIOD

Can someone tell me why

an 85 yr. Old person cannot get an apartment at some of the senior living places? Some say you make too much, others are just to high for my income. There are two where I do not want to live there. One I like goes by their religious rules and has 3 apartments empty. What is going on here? Please someone answer me! Help me, please!
