Panthers played their first home volleyball match of the season on Thursday night, playing host to the Central A & M Raiders. In a two-game set, the Panthers lodged a 25-15, 25-18 win to go to 3-1 on the season.
Jillian Hamilton and Lainey Hicks were the power at the net with 8 and 6 kills, respectively. Hamilton also led the team with 9 digs and she had 3 blocks. Kiley Ladage and Chloe Ashcraft both got 4 kills and Kady Perry finished with 2.
Rachel Holthaus dished out 21 assists and she had 3 digs. Emily Blackwell made 5 assists. Jadyn Bearup got 8 digs and served 6 points. Holthaus also had 6 service points. Hick was the service leader with 7.
For the Raiders, Makenzie Smith led the way with 4 kills and she had 7 digs. Julia Corzine and Jilyan Burgener made 2 kills each and Alana Harlow and Ashlyn Hennings had a kill apiece.
Marissa Snearly and Corzine each had 5 assists and Snearly got a team high 11 digs and a block. Burgener had 3 blocks.
