THS golf teams report
TAYLORVILLE — Rochester blistered the front nine at Lakeshore Golf Course Wednesday afternoon as the Rockets outdistanced Auburn and Taylorville to win a girl’s triangular match. The rockets carded a team total 181 to defeat Auburn, 206 and the Tornadoes, 213.
The bright spot for the Tornado girls was the play of Sophia Robinson and Morgan Wright. Robinson shot a 6 over 42 to share medalist honors with Rochester’s Kiley Torres. Wright continued her fine play for THS with a 49. Other Tornadoes scorers were Kaydee Prose with a 59, the Lowis sisters, Hallie and Sydney each shot 63’s, Laura Wayman had a 66 and playing in her first varsity match Avery Ellis shot a 70.

SPRINGFIELD — THS boys golf team was in Springfield at Lincoln Greens Wednesday after- noon. They were matched up with Rochester and Williamsville.
Williamsville finished first at 166. Taylorville and Rochester tied for second with scores of 196.
Medalist for the Tornadoes was Briar Dempsey with a 39. Bryce Friedrich had a 46 and Ryan Johnson shot a 49. Brian Short had a 59 and Grant Bouschon carded a 62.
