Taylorville Junior High School hosting veterans for breakfast

TAYLORVILLE — On behalf of the school community, Taylorville Junior High School would like to honor all vet- erans’ service on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 12, with breakfast and a short pro- gram in the TJHS cafeteria. The cafeteria will open at 7:30 a.m. to the Veterans and their extended families for coffee, juice, and fellowship.

Breakfast service begins at 7:45 a.m .by the cafeteria staff and the TJHS Student Council.

The TJHS choir and band will perform

“This is America” along with a service melody for the visitors’ enjoyment.

For everyone’s convenience please park in the circle drive where the nations flag is displayed.

TJHS is also planning to livestream the event for those that cannot attend for any reason.

Thank you for your acts of courage and devotion to the ideals that have served to guide our great nation. Please help TJHS prepare by calling (217) 824-4924 to reserve seats. Provide a name, number of immediate family members attending, branch of service, and any special needs to accommodate attendance by 11:00 a.m,, Friday, Nov. 5.
