Ronald “Ronnie” Edward Pritchard, Jr., 47, of Taylorville, passed away at 5:27 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021, at St. Johnís Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Ronnie was born on November 3, 1974, in Springfield, the son of Ronald Edward Pritchard, Sr. and Dale Evans (Guyett) Pritchard. He married Natalie Anderson on February 13, 2020, in Treasure Island, FL.
Ronnie grew up in the Springfield and Mechanicsburg areas and graduated from Tri-City High School in 1992. As a young adult, he worked at Team Electronics and Benchmark. Ronnie then worked as a car salesman and sales manager at Bob Ridings in Taylorville for nearly 20 years. He loved vacationing with his wife in Florida, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Ronnie was funny, thoughtful, and hard-working. He adored his wife, children, parents, and father and mother-in-law, Rick and Jeanne Hector. Ronnie enjoyed working in the yard, watching his daughter ride horses, and watching his son practice archery. He was an avid Ford Mustang fan, never met a stranger, and was loved by all.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret E. Guyett, Ervin M. Guyett, Sr., Bruce A. Pritchard, and Nora Pritchard and aunts, Patricia A. Muchow and Connie Harris.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Dale Pritchard of Dawson; wife, Natalie of Taylorville; children, Noah Pritchard, Carly Pritchard, Collin Sparks, and Carter Sparks; one niece; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial Ceremony: 3:00 p.m. on November 18, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home ñ Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. A Memorial Gathering will follow until 7:00 p.m. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings.
Burial will take place at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park.
