Keep up the lights
Park Board, why so dead set on ending Christmas in the Park on December 25th? The amount of time and effort the employees and volunteers put into setting up, why not keep the decorations up and on display through the month of December? Always wondered why it HAS to end exactly on Christmas???
Hey 39% (actually it’s down to 38%, maybe 37% by now), where are you? Just about a week ago I asked for someone from the 39% that approve of President Biden to tell us (the 61%) what he / his administration is doing that you approve of! So far crickets, nothing! Whew! I figured Breeze Courier readers couldn’t be that uninformed!
How in the world did the Catholic Church qualify for $3 billion in the Paycheck Protection Program when according to the AP they’re setting on $10 billion in cash and investments. Also, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist and Jewish faith-based entities received another $3 billion. No wonder Biden said the Pope told him he was a good Catholic. Hard working people struggle enough without supporting private businesses. It is not right or moral to take money from people who earned it and give it to people that didn’t earn it. Federal and state subsidies need to stop. Two things we’ll never see in this country are a flat tax and term limits.
It’s been two weeks since Veterans Day but we want to recognize and thank Gwen Deihl, an Army veteran and Ricky Reed, National Guard and Marine veteran for their display of Military memorabilia at the American Legions Veteran luncheon. On display were uniforms from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, Navy, Army and Marines, as well as guns that at one time were fired in war. From Civil War black powder long rifle, black powder pistol, WWI and WWII rifles along with medals, pictures, books and other articles. We wish everyone could have seen the colorful Hawaiian flowers. Each one with the name of a loved one who perished at Pearl Harbor. Thank you Gwen for the large beautiful American flag behind the speakers platform. Thank you Gwen and Ricky for the time you invested making the Veterans luncheon a success. God Bless!
How about them Bears?
The Bears are so much better since Trubisky left. Here’s why, Coach Nagy has taught us an important lesson. Sure now the Bears can’t seem to score more than a touchdown a game any more. But we learned that getting touchdowns isn’t important. What’s important is having something to talk about when you talk about the Bears. Who cares if we win games? It’s more fun when we lose.
