Court appearances
Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Brad Paisley presided over the following cases on Dec. 3, 2021:
Leslie W. Burn, 21CF150, forgery, had a status hearing on preliminary hearing and the defendant waived his right to the hearing. In a negotiated settlement of the case, the defendant was sentenced to two years probation. Fines and fees total $5,045.
Lawrence E. Coghlan, 21CF33, possession of meth five grams or less, had pre-trial continued until Jan. 24, 2021. A Notice to Appear will be sent.
Drew M. Collins had pre-trials in three felony cases, including 20CF223, unlawful restraint and domestic battery, were continued until Jan. 31, 2022.
Pre-trials for Troy B. Crowder, 21CF240, aggravated delivery of meth less than five grams and two counts of meth delivery five grams or less and 20CF280, aggravated fleeing police, was continued until Jan. 10, 2022.
A motion to reduce bail for Christina A. Fickas, 20CF326, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, was continued until Dec. 9, 2021.
Jessica S. Frosting, 20CF171, aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery, had pre-trial continued until Jan. 31, 2022.
Sean A. Groves, 19CF155, retail theft of merchandise over $300, had first appearance and Public Defender Tiffany Senger was appointed counsel. First appearance with counsel is Dec. 6, 2021.
Pre-trial for Dayne T. Lowe, 19CF201,possession of a controlled substance, was continued until Jan. 25, 2022. A Notice to Appear will be sent.
Jackie L. Martin, 21CF185, violation of sex offender registry and 18CF265, two counts of violation of sex offender registry, had pre-trials continued until Jan. 25, 2022 for presentation of possible plea agreement.
Pre-trials for Jeffery R. Moreland in three felony cases including 21CF94, driving with a revoked/suspended license was continued until Jan. 28, 2022 for presentation of possible plea agreement. In addition, there was pre-trial for a petition to revoke probation in 19CF51, driving with a revoked/suspended license which was continued until the same date.
Toby A. Moyer, 18CF127, domestic battery, admitted to the allegations in the petition to revoke probation. A pre-sentencing survey was ordered and sentencing is set for Feb. 1, 2022, at 1:15 p.m.
Pre-trial for Robert T. Tobin, 20CF247, three counts of possession of child pornography, had jury trial set for May 2, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. Final pre-trial is Apr. Apr. 19, 2022, at 1:15 p.m.
Damon J. Trumpy, 20CF278, possession of meth five grams or less and 20CF288, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of meth five grams or less, had pre-trials continued until Jan. 28, 2022.
