(SPRINGFIELD) — Springfield Ballet Company rehearsals are in full swing for this year’s The Nutcracker. Newly appointed Temporary Artistic Director, Adam Sage, spent the weekend with Company dancers in the studio at The Hoogland Center for the Arts in preparation for next month’s performances of The Nutcracker.
Dancer Liliella Vail, from Taylorville, will also be dancing in the Nutcracker performance.
Springfield Ballet Company Nutcracker performances are on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, Dec.12, at 2:00 p.m. at UIS Performing Arts Center. General admission seating is $35, and tickets are available at springfieldballetco.org.
In addition to the public performances, Springfield Ballet Company is offering an all- access performance for anyone with sensory needs on Friday, December 10 at 6 pm. A reservation form is available at springfieldballetco.org.
The Springfield Ballet Company is promoting social distancing for The Nutcracker. Springfield Ballet Company asks that all patrons allow at least two seats between another party that is already seated.
The UIS Performing Arts Center requires ALL event attendees, regardless of age show ONE of the following before admission:
• Proof of a negative Covid-19 test result from a test taken within the two days before the event or
• Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination (including two weeks passing since final injection).
