Rose Marie Tippitt

Mrs. Rose Marie Tippitt, 96, of Kincaid, Ill., passed from this life at 5:20 P.M. Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Kincaid, Ill., on December 4, 1925 the daughter of Enrico and Angelina (Fiaoni) Staffaroni. Rose married Carl C. Tippitt on August 23, 1945 in Taylorville, Ill. Rose and Carl renewed their vows in June of 1973 at St. Rita Catholic Church, Kincaid. Mr. Tippitt preceded her in death May 17, 2017.
Rose was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, Kincaid. She enjoyed and spent many years working in the kitchen at the Knight’s of Columbus Hall in Kincaid, playing bingo, watching her grandchildren play sports, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Tippitt was a loving housewife and highly devoted to her family and friends.
Surviving are: her son Robert “Bob” and wife Janet Tippitt and daughter Beverly and husband Dale Merano all of Kincaid, Ill., five grandchildren Cherie Pope of Springfield, Ill., Kelly (Josh) Prince of Tovey, Ill., Lissa (Tommy) Watson, Stephanie (Joe) Leonard and Melanie Merano all of Kincaid, Ill., nine great-grandchildren Derek (Sami) Moss, Devinn Moss, Haley and Hayden Prince, Kennady and Adalyn Watson, William and Luca Leonard and Maxx Pope, three great-great-grandchildren Ryder Conaway, Greyson Moss and Logan Vandenbergh along with many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 17, 2021 at St. Rita Catholic Church, Kincaid, Ill. Fr. Anthony “Tony” Choppraw will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, Ill. Visitation for Mrs. Rose M. Tippitt will be held for one hour before her services (10 to 11am Friday) at St. Rita’s in Kincaid.
