(PALMER) — On a visit to her grandmother’s grave at the old Harpers Ferry cemetery in Palmer, Jennifer Gordon noticed something. Though the cemetery is old, with headstones dating back to the 1700’s, most headstones were bare.
“I think it’s sad that they don’t have anyone or any family left to visit or pay their respects to them,” Jennifer shared. So, she decided to do something about it.
With her mother Janie Hughes, daughter Sophia Gordon, and husband Chris Gordon, Jennifer made Christmas decorations for the headstones. They are pictured putting out the decorations on Monday, December 13, 2021.
