(PANA) — Activities are planned to keep you entertained in Pana this holiday season. Activities are going on in Kitchell Park for the “December to Remember” and Santa Claus is planning on making some stops to speak to children this evening.
In the Chautauqua Pavilion in Kitchell Park, Santa will be on hand to speak to children between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. Entertainment on the stage will be featured on the stage will be Lennon Kimbrel.
More music is featured on the stage Saturday night, Dec. 18, with Izzy Miller at 5:00 p.m. Then Sunday, Dec. 19, at 5:00 p.m., the First Baptist Church of Pana will be caroling in the park.
Monday through Wednesday, Dec. 20-22, the First United Pentecostal Church of Pana is presenting a live Nativity scene in the park. It will be located in the North Pavilion, which is across from the Pana Swimming Pool.
The public is invited to walk through the park to see the amazing number of displays which were set up by Pana Pride. The displays are lit from 5:00-9:00 p.m. during the week and on weekends, 5:00-10:00 p.m. Donations are accepted.
Santa Visits
In addition to his stop in the park, Santa is taking up residence in the Pana Fire House Dec. 18 through Dec. 23. His hours vary, but Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 18 and 19, he will be available from 2:00-4:00 p.m. each day. Monday through Thursday, children can see Santa from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Vehicles can be lined up in the alley north of the fire station and can drive through in two lanes. The driveway of the Fire House is for exiting only.
Santa’s visits are promoted by the Pana Lions Club. Firemen will also accept donations during the hours of Santa’s visits.
