Court appearances Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Judge Douglas Jarman presided over the following cases on Dec. 20, 2021:

Samantha J. Abbott pled guilty in a negotiated settlement of three felony cases, including 19CF366, meth delivery five grams or less and possession of meth five grams or less. The defendant was sentenced to two years of second chance probation along with eight days int he Christian County Jail with credit for four days served (good time applies).

She will perform 30 hours of community service and participate in any counseling recommended by the probation office. Fines and fees are $4,965. Several other cases were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

A pre-trial for a petition to revoke probation for William H. Baker, 19CF32, false report of an offense, resulted in Assistant Public Defender Ed Brandt being appointed counsel. First appearance with counsel is Feb. 15, 2022.

Lacey J. Durbin, 21CF42, possession of meth five grams or less and child endangerment, had preliminary hearing continued until Jan. 27, 2022.

Kylee E. Mathes, 21CF73, possession of a controlled substance, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 4, 2022, for presentation of a possible plea agreement.

Robbin A. Sheets, 20CF198, theft between $10,000 and $100,000, had pre-trial continued until Mar. 28, 2021 for presentation of possible plea agreement.

Motion to modify bond for Andrew D. Smith, 21CF279, aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery with intent to do great bodily harm to vacate no contact with victim was granted. Pre-trial was continued until for possible presentation of a plea agreement on Jan. 13, 2022.
