Gary Ray Conner

September 24, 1951 — December 19, 2021

Gary Ray Conner, 70 of Pawnee, Ill., passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill. He was born on September 24, 1951, the son of Walter and Norma Conner. After graduating high school, Gary attended and graduated from St. Norbert College in Wisconsin. He then moved to Spring Hill, Florida where he worked for Builders Aluminum Products. After that, he was the owner/operator of a carpet cleaning business. Gary moved back to Pawnee, Ill., in 2016. He enjoyed living on the family farm. Gary was a big Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.

He is survived by his sister: Cheryl O’Donnell of Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Norma E. (O’Hara) Solomon-Conner.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Funeral Service will be immediately following the visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, Ill., with Father Tony Swamey Officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurice Cemetery in Morrisonville, Ill.
