Gloria Jean Justus

June 19, 1950 — December 21, 2021

Gloria Jean Justus, 71 of Stonington, Ill. passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 7:04 p.m. at Pana Community Hospital in Pana, llL. She was born on June 19, 1950 in Taylorville, Ill., the daughter of Chester and Lucille (Liedel) Dilbeck. She married Bobby Justus on July 9, 1971 in Taylorville, Ill. Gloria was a charter member of the Taylorville Christian Church, she then became a member of the Tower Hill Free Methodist Church and she attended the Mt. Pleaseant Church of God in Assumption, Ill., as of late. She was a beauty operator and later became a CNA and she liked to read when she could and she loved putting puzzles together and attending Southern Gospel concerts.

She is survived by her son: Christopher Justus of Fla., sister: Mary Dilbeck of Pana, Ill.; cousin: Shirley Truax of Assumption, Ill.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, and parents.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Church of God in Assumption, Ill. Memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Beerbower officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Ill.
