Central A&M JHS takes on Sangamon Valley

MOWEAQUA — The 6th gradeRaidersvolleyballteam (0-0-1) hosted Sangamon Valley in the season opener. Splitting the match for a tie, the Raiders defeated the Storm 18-25 in set one, then fell closely 24-26 in set two. Head Coach Vanessa Rork had a few words after the game.

“Serving consistently allowed for most of our statistics which proved as a great indicator of practiced fundamentals. This team is continuously learning and growing in their skills daily.”

Allison Westbrook 2 aces The 8th grade Raiders volleyball team (1-0) earned a win against Sangamon Valley in two sets on tuesday night, 25-10, 25-17.

“Consistency at the service line allowed for us to control the tempo of the match. We are gaining confidence in our fundamentals and such skills will be fun to watch develop as the season progresses. Next up, all three levels travel toOkawValleyonThursday.” said Rork.
