Court appearances
Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Brad Paisley presided over the following cases on Jan. 6, 2022:
Jennifer N. Archer, 19CF46, theft of merchandise less than $300 and criminal trespass to land, had pre-trial continued to Feb. 17, 2022.
Shale M. Bayne, 21CF331, possession of meth five grams or less, had preliminary hearing continued until Jan. 7, 2022. In addition, there was a pre-trial for a petition to revoke probation in 18CF236, possession of meth five grams or less, which was continued until the same date.
Pre-trial for Sindy L. Bunch, 21CF253, resisting a peace officer, was continued until Feb. 17, 2022. A Notice to Appear will be sent.
Nicholas J. Dyer, 21CF255, math delivery five grams or less and meth delivery between five and 15 grams, had pre-trial continued until Jan. 20, 2022.
Michael P. McNear, 21CF292, residential arson and arson of property more than $150, made first appearance with counsel and his bond was reduced to $10,000 (10% cash applies). He will also participate in after care treatment recommended by the Veteran’s Administration. Pre-trial is Feb. 17, 2022. In addition, there was first appearance with counsel for a petition to revoke probation in 18CF161,driving with a suspended/revoked license, driving with a revoked license, which was continued until the same date.
Pre-trials for Robert D. Neal, 20CF112, arson of property over $150 damage and 21CF302, theft between $500 and $10,000, resulted in the defendant pleading guilty in a negotiated settlement of the case. The defendant was sentenced to 30 months probation in each case to be served concurrently. He was sentenced to 9 days in the Christian County Jail and given credit for 9 days served. Fines and fees total $2,446.00.
