Pana — Pana Polce Department arrested Kade H. Jones, 23, of 305 North Elm Street in Pana for two counts of Burglary and Theft after multiple incidents over the weekend.
On January 3 at 10:47 a.m., Pana PD was notified of copper pipe and wiring removed from a building under repair at 108 North Poplar Street. Information was obtained identifying Kade Jones as a person of interest. He was later located by police, where the investigation continued. He was later implicated in the burglary.
During the investigation, Pana PD suspected Jones to be involved in a second burglary. Pana officers responded during the previous night to a burglary in progress in the area of Lake and Springtide to see a subject fleeing into the brush and timber area. The subject could not be identified or found. Officers found multiple items removed from the inside of a building, including a lawn mower, cords, wire, and other miscellaneous tools. One hydraulic jack was also found and later discovered to be taken from a building on Orange Street. Upon further investigation, probably cause was found to charge Jones with two counts of burglary and theft. Jones was transported to the Christian County Correctional Center in lieu of bond.
