Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Brad Paisley presided over the following cases on Jan. 7, 2022

Heather M. Bartlett, 19CF309, theft of merchandise less than $300, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 25, 2022.

A Notice to Appear will be sent. Kelsie M. Bass, 19CF70, burglary and possession of meth five grams or less and 18CF153, possession of meth five grams or less, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 18, 2022 for presentation of possible plea

agreement.
Shalee M. Bayne, 21CF331,

possession of meth five grams or less had preliminary hearing and probable cause was found. The defendant waived formal arraignment and pled not guilty. Pre-trial is Feb. 17, 2022. In addition, there was first appearance for a petition to revoke probation in 18CF236, possession of meth five grams or less, which was continued until the same date. Oral arguments were heard for bond reduction and the motion was denied.

Jason L. Bottoms, 21CF51, aggravated battery with intent to do great bodily harm, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 15, 2022 for presentation of possible plea agreement.

Patrick M. Carr, 19CF266, possession of meth five grams or less, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 24, 2022. Final pre- trial is Apr. 19, 2022 at 1:15 p.m. with jury trial on May 2, 2022 at 8:30 a.m.

Jade N. Humphrey, 20CF200, possession of meth five grams or less, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 22, 2022 for presentation of possible plea agreement. A Notice to Appear will be sent.

Jeremiah D. Johnson, 19CF326, two counts of theft of merchandise less than $300

and getting donation for new Park Sign, committee reports, maintenance of equipment, Lake/Park, grants, finance, president’s report/comments, employee’s birthday/

day off, trustee’s reports/ comments, visitors, adjourn.

Pre-trial for a petition to revoke probation for Joseph D. Mays, 19CF268, four counts of forgery, was continued until Feb. 15, 2022.

Pre-trial for Jerry W. Riggs, 20CF147, meth delivery five grams or less,resulted in jury trial being set for May 2, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. Final pre-trial is Apr. 19, 2022, at 1:15 p.m.

Pre-trial for Austin E. Smith, 21CF231, possession of meth five grams or less, was continued until Feb. 11, 2022. A Notice to Appear will be sent.

Louis E. Sullivan, 20CF41, aggravated battery/use of a deadly weapon and battery, had pre-trial continued until Feb. 25, 2022.

Ryan L. Tarrant, 21CF330, two counts of residential burglary and resisting a peace officer, had preliminary hearing set for status on Jan. 19, 2022.

James J. Weinert, 21CF208, meth delivery between 15 and 100 grams, entered a guilty plea in a negotiated settlement of the case. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (50% to be served) and receive credit for 184 days served. He will also serve 18 months of Mandatory Supervised Release (parole) at the end of his sentence.

Status hearing for Keith Weller in three felony cases, including 21CF209, possession of meth five grams or less, was set for pre-trial on Feb. 22, 2022.

Logan Joseph Wilson, 21CF221, aggravated domestic battery and murder with intent to kill/injure, had status hearing continued until Apr. 8, 2022.

Status hearing on fitness for Tracy J. Kennedy, 20CF185, possession of meth five grams or less, was continued until Feb. 14, 2022.

Megan M. Klespitz, 19CF226, theft of merchandise less than $300, had pre-trial continued until Jan. 18, 2022 for presentation of possible plea agreement.
