Dear Editor,
Legislative Inspector General Carol Pope, demonstrates Leadership, Courage and Integrity! Thank you IG Pope! You are the first step in restoring the faith in our Public Servants! By resigning, due to the lack of emphasis on Ethics in the Illinois General Assembly, you demonstrated Leadership and Courage, but also confirmed what we all knew – “Ethics are for thee, but not for me”!
Why none of our “leadership” (military or elected), after Biden’s Afghanistan debacle, didn’t stand up and demonstrate the same type of leadership and courage that Carol Pope demonstrated is disgraceful! Our “honorable” General Milley, General McKenzie and Defense Secretary Austin are still (self) serving, and I’m sure being considered for advancement, awards and accolades under the Biden Administration!
Our two self serving, hypocrite, millionaire Senators Durbin and Duckworth, didn’t only fail to resign, nor ask for someone to resign, no they just ignored this disgraceful Biden Administration failure, and won’t speak of it! They won’t even call out the planners (McKenzie and Austin)! Duckworth a decorated combat veteran – we get nothing, just her disregard of this failure! Neither have any courage, nor leadership! Fortunately none of the 13 Service Men and Women killed were Illinoisans, so the Illinois media doesn’t have to ask them about this intentional tragedy!
Time for patriotic, courageous leadership in Washington!
