Pana girls pick up win 20
(PANA) — The Pana girls basketball team had a 17-6 lead over Carlinville in the first quarter on Tuesday night in the PHS gym and never looked back as they cruised to a 73-14 South Central Conference win.
The Panthers have now won 20 games this season.
Jillian Hamilton of the Panthers led all scorers with 17 points in the game. A pair of seniors, Jadyn Bearup and Kiley Ladage had 10 points apiece in the game. Lainey Hicks, Ellie Kuhn and Aryn Alde each put in 8 points and Rachel Holthaus added 7. Rounding out the scoring were Jenna Hadowsky and Anna Beyers with 3 and 2 points, respectively.
Pana sank 10 3-pointers with Hamilton putting in 4. Both Bearup and Alde had 2 apiece and Hadowsky and Holthaus had 1 each.
The Panthers did not allow the visitors to score in double digits in any quarter of the game.
Pana is 4-0 in South Central play and head to Hillsboro on Thursday to take on the Hiltoppers in SCC action.
