Court appearances
Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Brad Paisley presided over the following cases on Jan. 14, 2022:
Matthew A. Burrus, 18CF130, possession of a controlled substance, had pre-trial and the defendant agreeing to a negotiated settlement of the case. The defendant admitted to the allegations contained in the petition to revoke probation and was sentenced to two years of probation and 10 days in the Christian County Jail with credit for 5 days served (good time applies). Fines and fees total $1,030.
Pre-trial for a petition to revoke probation for Charlotte L. Delacruz, 17CF200, possession of meth five grams or less, was continued until Feb. 25, 2022.
Dale R. Detmers, 20CF199, possession of meth five grams or less, had pre-trial continued until Mar. 1, 2022 for presentation of possible plea agreement.
Chiannah C. Dilley, 19CF244, domestic battery, pled guilty in a negotiated settlement of the case. The defendant admitted to the allegations contained in the petition to revoke probation and was sentenced to 30 months of probation. She has already served the 26-day jail sentence. Fines and fees total $2,831.
Pre-trial for Dottie M. Eppenger, 21CF175, two counts of felon possession of firearm, was continued until Mar. 4, 2022.
David W. Frost, 20CF181, possession of a stolen vehicle, pled guilty in a negotiated settlement of the case. The defendant was sentenced to 6 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (50% mandatory). He will get credit for 563 days served and will undergo Mandatory Supervised Release for a year once release. A waiver of fines and fees was granted, however there is a balance of $248 in sheriff’s fees which were sent to probation.
Blake A. Griffin, 17CF42, failure to report annually, had pre-trial continued until Mar. 2, 2022 for presentation of a possible plea agreement.
Jacob C. Krouse, 21CF189, felon possession of a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, had pre-trial and jury trial was set for Mar. 7, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. Final pre-trial is Feb. 15, 2022 at 1:15 p.m.
Pre-trial for Jacob R. Mariacher, 21CF100, aggravated battery/discharge firearm; aggravated discharge of firearm/occupied building; felon possession/use of a firearm/weapon; and possession of a stolen firearm, was continued until Mar. 4, 2022.
Ann L. Stafford had pre-trials in eight felony cases including 21CF249, burglary, and in one of those cases, the color system testing was changed to random testing. Pre-trial was continued until Feb. 22, 2022 for presentation of possible plea agreement.
First appearance for Andrew J. Woods, 20CF219, meth delivery five grams or less and manufacture/delivery of look-alike materials, was continued until Feb. 25, 2022. A Problem Solving Court referral is being made.
