Focus on the future to feature presentation on resiliency/self-care
DECATUR, IL – Olga Phoenix, an internationally recognized resilience, self-care, and trauma prevention expert, will be the featured speaker at the Macon County Mental Health Board’s Focus on the Future event, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, at the Mt. Zion Convention Center. Phoenix’s presentation will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Phoenix is the creator of the Self-Care and Resilience Wheels – some of the most searched, downloaded, and media- covered wellbeing tools. She’s the best-selling author of the “Victim Advocate’s Guide to Wellness: Six Dimensions of Vicarious Trauma-Free Life.” Phoenix’s presentation will provide strategies and tools to fight burnout and vicarious trauma, foster workplace wellbeing, and transform the overall quality of life.
Focus on the Future is the Macon County Mental Health Board’s needs identification event, designed to identify and detail the unmet local needs related to mental health/mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use.
