Court appearances
Published court appearances reflect the daily 10:00 a.m. criminal call and do not necessarily account for all felony proceedings heard that day. Christian County Resident Judge Brad Paisley presided over the following cases on Jan. 25, 2022:
Kyle D. Brown, 21CF49, possession of meth five grams or less and solicitation of sex act with person under 18, had pre-trial and a motion to reduce bond to $5,000 was granted (10% cash applies). Jury trial was set for May 2, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. with final pre-trial on Apr. 19, 2022 at 1:15 p.m. A 402 Conference was set for Mar. 1, 2022 at 8:45 a.m.
Motion to reduce bail for Tyler L. Engelhart, 22CF11, burglary, was denied. Bond remains at $20,000 (10% cash applies). Preliminary hearing is Feb. 15, 2022.
Alexis I. Givens, 21CF80, possession of meth between five and 15 grams and 21CF290, possession of a controlled substance, had pre-trials and preliminary hearings set for Feb. 24, 2022.
First appearance with counsel for Marcus A. Hughes, 21CF135, aggravated fleeing police, waived preliminary hearing and formal arraignment and pled not guilty. Pre-trial is Mar. 11, 2022.
First appearance with counsel for Byron C. Kay, 22CF10, burglary, resulted in preliminary hearing being set for Feb. 15, 15, 2022. In addition, there were pre-trials in three other cases which were continued until the same date.
Hearing for Dayne T. Lowe, 19CF201, possession of a controlled substance, resulted in pre-trial being set for Mar. 21, 2022 for presentation of possible plea agreement.
Donald L. Lozier, 21CF325, possession of meth five grams or less, had first appearance with counsel . In addition, there was pre-trial for a petition to revoke probation in 19CF159, possession of meth five grams or less and violation of an order of protection, which was continued until the same date.
Kendra M. Monts, 20CF261, criminal trespass to residence, had status hearing continued until Feb. 14, 2022.
Bail review for Jesse R. Pauley, 22CF14, aggravated domestic battery/strangle and criminal trespass to residence, resulted in the bond being set at $20,000 (10% cash applies). First appearance with counsel and a bond review is set for Jan. 27, 2022.
Curtis A. M. Slaughter, 21CF26, threatening a public official, had pre-trial and a 402 Conference was set for Feb. 15, 2022 at 8:45 a.m. and pre-trial will be at 10:00 a.m. the same day.
