LHS Lancers pound Indians, 52-37

RAYMOND — Lincoln wood hosted the Pawnee Indians last night on Tuesday Jan. 25. The Lancers maintained a solid lead the whole game and went home with a victory. Lincoln wood defeated Pawnee by a final score of 52-37.

The first quarter got off to a quick start for the Lancers boys basketball team. Lincolnwood’s 1-2 punch came from senior Will Jenkins and freshman Jonah Elvidge. The pair had a combined 29 of the teams 52 points.

By the end of the first half the boys had out scored their opponent 37- 19. The second half was no different.

The Lancers kept their foot on the gas pedal in quarter number three. Sophomore Gabe Armentrout put up 10 points and junior Braden Whalen scored 9. Freshman Jared Klein was perfect from the line going 2/2 knocking both free throws down. He finished with two points. Also notching two points and rounding out scoring for Lincolnwood was sophomore Brady Schmedeke.

The Lancers outscored the Indians 52-37 and took home the conference victory. Lincolnwoods next game will be at home once again on Saturday against Staunton. All three levels will play including Fresh/ Soph, JV and Varsity.
