Pana girls get 20th straight win at Neoga

(NEOGA) — Senior Jillian Hamilton scored 17 points and the Pana Panthers girls basketball team defeated Neoga, 53-26, in non-conference action on Tuesday at Neoga. It was the Panthers’ 20th straight win as they improve to 24-1 while Neoga fell to 21-5 not he season.

Chloe Ashcraft came in off the bench to score 9 points and Anna Beyers and Lainey Hicks added 7 apiece. Elie Kuhn got 6 points with Rachel Holthaus chipping in 4. Aryn Alde rounded out the scoring with 3 points.

After Pana jumped out to a 17-6 first quarter lead, the Panthers tightened the defensive clamps and held the home team to one point in the second quarter for a 29-7 halftime lead. After three quarters, it was 45- 18, Pana.

Pana is home on Thursday night, Jan. 27, for a varsity-only game against South Central Conference foe, Litchfield. Tip-off is at 6:00 p.m. Then on Saturday, Jan. 29, Pana travels to Williamsville for a shot-out to face St. Joseph- Ogden. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
