Panthers steam rolls Sullivan, 76-28

(SULLIVAN) — A 28-2 start for the Pana Panthers on Tuesday night at Sullivan propelled them to a 76-28 win. Ten of Pana’s 12 rostered players got in the scoring column as the Panthers rolled to their 19th win in 20 games.

There Pana players scored in double figures led by Colin Schmitz with 18 points. Brenden Schoonover added 14 and Ethan Hicks had 11. Evan Hudlin put in 8 while Max Schmitz scored 7. Kyle Kuhn accounted for 6 points with 4 points apiece for Drew Hackler and Matt McFarland. Joel Deere and Brant Bowker rounded out the scoring with 2 points each.

Will Dawkins had 6 points to lead Sullivan in scoring.

Pana jumped out to a 45-13 halftime led and they went into the fourth quarter with the lead being 63-22.

The Panthers are 20-2 on the season and will face Staunton in South Central Conference action on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 in the Pana High School gym. Pana has a 3-0 record in SCC play. Saturday night, Rochester comes to visit the PHS gym in non- conference action.
