Community Women’s Association offering scholarships

CHRISTIAN COUNTY — The Community Women’s Association (CWA) will be awarding two $1,500 Memorial Scholarships this year. The scholarships will be awarded to two deserving female adults and/or female high school seniors who will be attending junior college, college, or vocational/technical school.

Female residents of the Taylorville school district are eligible to apply.

Candidates for the scholarships should have financial need and at least a 2.5 GPA.

Applications for the CWA Memorial Scholarships are available in the counseling office at Taylorville High School or from CWA Scholarship Chair Eldonna Herzberger by calling 824- 6207. Completed applications must be received no later than Saturday, March

Association are to bring together women of diverse backgrounds to provide opportunities to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally and to provide support for community charities, as well as education opportunities for women through scholarships.
