Illinois Soybean At-Large Directo candidate

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Pursuant to the Marketing Program for Illinois soybeans, notice is hereby given that applications to become a candidate for At-Large Director representing the Illinois Soybean Board (ISB) are available from the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) office. If you have questions, please call 1-309-808-3603.

 

Two at-large director positions will expire on July 31, 2022. Individuals will be nominated by the majority of the Illinois Soybean Board sitting in a quorum at meeting to be determined. Thereafter, two of the nominated individuals will be elected by a majority of soybean producers in attendance at the Illinois Soybean Board Meeting in July 2022.

 

Board members serve a term of three years and are eligible for up to three consecutive terms.

 

Any interested producer must notify the Board of their desire to become a candidate for an at-large position by sending a letter of interest to Illinois Soybean Association, Attn: Director of Operations, 1605 Commerce Parkway, Bloomington, Illinois, 61704. This letter of interest must be postmarked no later than Thursday, February 24, 2022.  Letters of interest may also be sent via email to scottd@ilsoy.org.  The same deadline applies.

 

Once intent is expressed, candidates will be emailed a link to an online application.  Online applications must be completed and submitted electronically no later than Thursday, March 3, 2022. There is no write-in provision for At-Large director elections.

 

Eligibility to serve requires each candidate be an Illinois resident of legal voting age that contributes to the soybean checkoff.
