Lincolnwood shakes up Ramsey, 42-35

RAYMOND — The surging Lincolnwood Lancers hosted the struggling Ramsey Rams at “The Wood Shed” on Tuesday night. With big help from the upperclassman, Will Jenkins and Braden Whalen, the non- conference game belonged to Lincolnwood 42-35.
The Lancer’s were slow to start on Tuesday night but after that first half things really kicked off for the home team. Junior Braden Whalen lead the team in scoring with18points.Hissenior teammate,WillJenkins, right behind him with 13 points of his own.
Out of the halftime gate the Lancer’s, down five, needed to find their groove. Game Armentrout added to the points by getting to the line. The sophomore went 4/5 on free throws and also made the only three-pointer for the team giving him a total of seven points. They made up the ground and then some scoring 13 points in the third quarter to take a 29-25 lead. Sophomore, Brady Schmedeke, and freshman, Jarded Klein, came together to round out the Lancer’s scoring with a combined four points.
The Lancer’s would hold off the Rams in the fourth to secure the win, 42-35. Lincolnwood improves to 11-10 and the team’s next match will be on Saturday in Carlinville at 6:30.
