Honoring Service Members In Pana

(PANA) — Bert Crowe, right, project coordinator and Clayton Beck, left, display one of the new banners being raised in Pana to honor military service members. This banner honors Ryan LeDuc, who died in combat in Iraq in 2004. There is a QR code on the banner to scan to read about the honoree. The banners are 18 x 38 inches in full color. Personnel to be honored include active service member; honorably discharged veteran; retired; and those who died in the line of duty. Banners will be in place from Memorial Day to Veteran’s Day, then retired. They are returned to the purchaser as a keepsake. Each banner is $80 and mounting bracket is $80 as well. Donations from local businesses are being sought to purchase the brackets. For more information about the banner program, contact Bert Crowe, 217-825-6433 or bertcrowe2@gmail.com.
